HISTORY/ABOUT LAMBDA CHAPTER


The Lambda Chapter of Delta Phi at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) is a historic, social fraternity founded in 1864, located at 311 Congress Street in Troy, NY. Known for a strong, active alumni association, the chapter offers amenities like a 24/7 in-house 3D printing system and renovated residential facilities. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]


Key Details About Lambda of Delta Phi (RPI):

Location & Housing: The chapter house ("The Academy") is a short five-minute walk from campus and was renovated with significant alumni support.

History: Founded in 1864, it is one of the oldest fraternities at RPI and part of the national Delta Phi fraternity, which was established in 1827.

Amenities: The house features a dedicated media room, a pool table, and a Bambu Lab H2D 3D printer for academic projects.

Alumni & Support: A strong alumni board manages the house, provides career mentoring, and helps with internship placement.

Accreditation: The chapter achieved a “Chapter of Merit” designation during the 2024 RPI Accreditation review.

He was President of Lambda Chapter of Delta Phi while attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was also President and Chairman of Ludlow Valve.
